The Internet Service Providers and Connectivity Providers (ISPCP) operate Internet backbone networks and/or provide end users with access to the Internet and related services. As such, they play a key role in the stability and development of the Internet. Consequently, they contribute towards achieving the aims and goals of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). Since ICANN's inception, these stakeholders have formed a constituency to contribute their unique expertise.
The Internet Service Providers and Connectivity Providers Constituency is an integral part of the Generic Names Supporting Organisation (GNSO), and is assigned as a representative member of the Commercial Stakeholders Group (CSG) in the Non-Contracted Parties House, according to ICANN Bylaws. However, the role of the ISPCP Constituency extends beyond this GNSO participation, as it plays an active part in many Supporting Organisations, Advisory Committees and Working Groups within ICANN’s diverse structure.

The Constituency also safeguards the interests and concerns of the ISP and connectivity industries. It fulfils its roles and responsibilities while adhering to the relevant ICANN bylaws and operating procedures.
Meetings
At a minimum, membership meetings are held once a month via teleconference to advance policy and matters important to its members. Face-to-face meetings are also held during ICANN public meetings around the world.
